Percocet Blonde began humbly in Waterloo Ontario, as 4 members who met in university. The 4 boys would use backyard jams and basement practices as a good excuse to drink beer. It was until the slow realization that they might have something that people could be interested in. A small hometown restaurant underneath an office building took a chance on them, and they have taken that momentum and achieved musical goals that any band would dream of in 1 rollercoaster of a year. With the release of an album and ability to headline in venues all over Ontario from Waterloo to Kingston and everywhere in between. With some some sold out shows here and some there and packing in venues with the likes of The Horseshoe Tavern, Maxwell's Concert Hall, The Supermarket and The Mansion. The boys recently went national with their first show out of province at the Seahorse Tavern in Halifax NS.
As we said earlier it was humble beginnings for Percocet Blonde, after circulating restaurants in our area we discovered that the blend of rock, blues, and a hint of psychedelia could not be limited. Since then we have had the opportunity to play for spaces that fill hundreds of people and we're looking to keep going.
We've been living out many of our musical dreams so far in just one year putting out an album was a big one. Playing in a different province is big a one. We have recently raised over $1.5K for The Gord Downie and Change Wenjack Fund. Even just hearing folks singing our lyrics at shows or wearing a t shirt feels like an achievement for us. But with all that said in the great words of Noel Gallagher "ITS NOT ENOUGH I WANT MORE!"
